Job Description
Due to increased activity my client is looking for a Management Accountant to support the accounting/financial functions required by the insurance policy system. The role will entail a wide range of accounting functions and will report to the Financial Controller and also involve close liaison with the CTO.
Main Duties
Managing the accounting functions of the insurance company, this will involve:-
* Daily processing of Direct Debits and credit card payments
* Control and reconciliation of client bank accounts
* Preparation of monthly underwriter/broker reports
* Preparation of monthly management accounts
* Working closely with the business analysts and systems developers to develop a finance system that automates various procedures and ensures the accounts are effectively managed
* Documentation of financial systems
* General adhoc reports
The Candidate:
* Graduate, with 2- 3 years experience of using a financial accounting system
* Part qualified ACCA/CIMA and studying to qualify
* Strong excel skills
* Ability to work accurately, attention to detail is crucial as the company is regulated by the FSA
* Must be able to work independently and to strict deadlines
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary dependent upon experience
