Job Description

Exciting opportunity for experienced Kitchen Assistant to work within busy, friendly Nursery setting in the Surrey Area.

This is a fantastic role for an experienced Kitchen Assistant to work on a full time basis in a well established Nursery setting which specializes in providing catering for children aged 03 months to 6 years.

You will need to be passionate about providing healthy and nutritious meals for children with a focus on cooking from fresh.

You should have experience of catering for vulnerable groups including experience of managing allergies and special dietary requirements.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• €¢ To prepare and serve good quality meals for children.

• €¢ To assist the Nursery Cook in food preparation

• €¢ To follow and implement all the policies and procedures set out by the nursery and including all environmental health and safety procedures.

• €¢ To work as part of a team

• €¢ To ensure confidentiality at all times

• €¢ To deep clean the Kitchen setting

• €¢ Preparation of lunch trays and trolleys

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

• €¢ Experience preparing and cooking meals for children aged 3 months to 6 years (Will consider candidates who have provided meals to the elderly)

• €¢ Food Hygiene certificate

• €¢ Experience of deep cleaning

• €¢ Experience of stock taking and ordering
